Overview
If you're on the hunt for a versatile, comfortable, masterfully crafted acoustic guitar, the Builder's Edition 614ce is a must-play. Designed for the ultimate playing experience, this Grand Auditorium is outfitted with an armrest, beveled cutaway, chamfered body and fretboard edges, and the noise-reducing Silent Satin finish. Big Leaf maple back and sides pair up with a torrefied Sitka spruce top for a clear, transparent sound that reflects each player's stylistic quirks, with a touch of extra warmth coming from the specially roasted top. V-Class bracing boosts volume and sustain to ensure you can cut through to the front of any mix, and the ES2 pickup provides faithful plugged-in tone. This model ships with a deluxe hardshell case.
Features
Grand Auditorium - Taylor’s signature shape embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic.
Maple Body Wood - Revoiced to produce greater warmth, complexity, volume, sustain and responsiveness
Sitka Spruce Top Wood - The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles.
The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.
Beveled Cutaway - Our beveled cutaway design provides a more player-friendly feel for guitarists who utilize every inch of the fretboard. It features a compound design with a smoothened edge along the corner of the body between the end of the cutaway and the neck heel, providing a more comfortable feel for the fretting hand.
V-Class Bracing - Our patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.
